Another Meeting…

Since everyone had such a blasty at the last meeting, we’ve decided to keep ‘em coming.  We’ll be meeting on Wednesday the 18th starting around 7:00pm at The Jury Room in Elkhorn.

I’m looking forward to seeing if Konky got his lappy and getting some input on my new project ‘Internet From Scratch’… Keep an eye on this page for some info and links.

The Jury Room is located at 20 S Wisconsin St, Elkhorn Wi.

Internet will give you the wrong address and directions as the bar has recently moved about a block down the road.

First Meeting a Success!

Our first LUG meeting took place as scheduled and was an absolute blast. We got the Banshee repo added to Tim’s lappy so he can update his iPod and spent the rest of the night just talking open-source and goofin’ around on Internet. We decided on positions and titles -

King: Ramsey
Marquee of all things even remotely important: Konky
Bishop of Apple Relations: Tim
Bouncer: Dave
Ayatollah of Rock ‘n Rolla: Ben

We also jabbered about computers with Mick W, Ben V, Bennett K, Adam K, and Dane H.  After avoiding a fistfight with a convicted rapist, two of us got crammed into the back of a cop car while another was hauled off the spend the night in the county jail. Like I said, the meeting was a resounding success!

First Meeting!!!

Well, I guess it’s about time. Let’s go ahead and get this thing started.

Well, the LUG is about an hour old and has one official member.  My first request of the community is to submit better art for the blog header.  It must be 780 x 95 pixels and in an open format.  Thanks in advance.
